I live on siesta with my son in law. I am 77years old and find that the current traffic on 41 and stickney is already too much. If this development happens as planned then I might have to move into a nursing home or leave town since I will feel unsafe driving with any more traffic.

It is too big for the space. It will cause too much disruption with the volume of traffic it will create. It will have a negative impact on the quality of life for those of us who live and work in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The traffic on stickney to get to the beach is already ridiculous. I am a student at pineview and have sometimes spent up to an hour stuck in the traffic. Please stop this development

Please do not aincrease the density and traffic. I already feel unsafe driving over the stickney bridge due to the traffic and i worry that since it already backs up from s41 to midnight pass that I will have to sell our home of 20 years and move away

I am a busy orthopedic surgeon and this large development will dramatically impact my personal life and my ability to provide timely care to my emergency patients. pLEASE stop this or cut back the density since the traffic over the stickney bridge is already too high to be safe or timely

The intersection at which this development is proposed to be located is congested even before this development is built. Roads are unsafe and too congested now for public safety. Please deny this development as planned or scale it back.

I feel the effects on traffic to Siesta
Key to be devastating.
We know have issues during season
.
Extremely long waits to get over the bridge to the key or returning from
the key.
I don't believe a thorough traffic study has been done and needs to be revisited.
It seems to me the county has only dollar signs rather than the needs of the citizen's ..

Is it going to take "someone" in county government whose loved one lives on the island and needs medical help to die because the ambulances can't get thru to treat them ? Why can't Sarasota have a beautiful maintained park in this spot with plenty of parking for the trolley's to shuttle them back and forth to beaches ? Benderson do something good for the people !!!

Benderson certainly has the right to build out this property at the zoning density it had when they purchased it. They do not have the "right" to any additional density. The people who live nearby also have rights (including those who will be affected by the increased traffic). They have the right that the property around them will not increase the development density as was zoned when they bought their property. In my opinion this is a simple decision for the Planning Board and BCC. They have to choose to support Benderson or the neighbors. In addition to limiting the zoning to the current 13:1, Benderson could do a really good thing by not creating any vehicle access from the new development to or from the neighborhood that borders it.

3 years ago Benderson had an arrangement with the county to store construction equipment on this property. Every morning and part of the afternoon, large pieces of equipment paraded up and down Brentwood Avenue. This went on for nearly two years. Todd Mathes, Benderson's representative, promised to remedy the situation. Of course he never did. He lied then, and he is lying to every resident of Pine Shores right now. If this is allowed to go through as proposed, the Pine Shores neighborhood will soon be unrecognizable. Please encourage the Commissioners, as I have, to take a hard look at the vacant retail up and down Tamiami Trail. There are indeed numerous vacant storefronts already. It is only a matter of time before they are occupied by tattoo studios and massage parlors. Most residents of Sarasota already avoid Tamiami Trail because of the gridlock. That is why they do not patronize businesses along this route. This development as proposed will add immediately to that situation.

Do not allow this monstrosity of overdevelopment to invade our peaceful community simply because someone who has an abundance of money thinks he needs more. Making money is a good American pursuit. Crushing community voices and rights is not.
