I cannot understand this project. It along with the red tide will keep visitors from venturing into the jet thus endangering Siesta Key businesses. It will make the traffic situation untenable and will increase global warming by the additional car emissions.

Not only is traffic clogging the intersection of 41 and Stickney Point Road, nearby residential streets are at times impassable. Not only is this detrimental to these neighborhoods, it presents a safety hazard, especially to those living south of Stickney Point Rd. Money spent attracting visitors is wasted if tourists get disgusted with the traffic and don't come again.

This will create chaos. It is a big mistake!

The density and proposed building heights are absurd. And we do not need another hotel. The traffic congestion to and from Siesta Key will make it virtually impassable.

Sarasota was once a nice town with beautiful orange groves, cow fields, and small businesses. Now its benderson town. He once said " i dont want this company to be like a Donald Trump business", but yet like Donald Trump, he buys up what he can at low rates, i.e cow fields and groves, builds extremely expensive properties (that even small businesses have a hard time renting and/or staying in business) which pushes them into areas that dont get a lot of foot traffic, so they go under, that once said small business was feeding our economy, now left a whole for benderson to scoop up once again a plot of land for low cost to flip for a Corporation. Leave south sarasota alone. Leave old sarasota alone.

Just one question: Do county commissioners drive? Nothing is being done to improve our infrastructure and traffic is already terrible.

I strongly agree with the point of view of this petition.

This project needs to be scaled way back and not flow into a neighborhood designed in the 40's

US 41 and Stickney Point cannot handle any more cars. It is on overload right now. The Benderson proposal will make the traffic intolerable and unsafe.

There are many reasons for not allowing this gargantuan development. You know what they are. Do the right thing.

We don’t want anything that adds to the congestion on 41 & Stickney, this is too large a project.

The development presented for this area in Sarasota is not inline with reasonable growth and development of this area. It will create a quagmire and be bad for the tourism and residential quality of this area which is sought after for its current esthetics.

Local citizen, concerned with the Lack of proposed traffic flow enhancements, especially as they relate to pedestrians and bicyclists travelling on Stickney Point Rd..

I live on Siesta Key and this intersection is already extremely congested and dangerous for several months of the year. My commute is nearly tripled in season without the addition of several thousand cars adding to the congestion! We already have a great variety of excellent grocery stores including Earth’s Origins across the road, Publix behind the intersection and Lucky’s & Sprouts & Walmart in short driving distance from the proposed site.

Horrible idea! Nightmarish already during tourist season. And with Atlas Hurricane coming folks would be trapped.

The negative implications of this project, included, but not limited to a traffic disaster, noise pollution and the disruption of small local businesses, have not been adequately investigated nor considered.
