The paradise we live in is quickly been destroyed in part by overdevelopment and development that is incompatible with current neighborhoods and businesses. Don't allow Sarasota to become another Ft. Lauderdale or Boca!

I think the people that do not want the traffic and are already annoyed should just leave. This is a vacation destination. I have no vested interest in this project, but will fight for it as you area all quite selfish.

Every County Commisioner should go to the US 41 and Stickney Point intersection and observe the congestion that already exists . Any one with a right thinking mind will observe that the Promenade proposal is ludicrous . My greatest concern is about emergency vehicles access to the Siesta Key Island ( yes , we have to remember it is a Island . I also see the Promenade proposal as ruining the asthetics and beauty of of the South gateway entry to Siesta Key . A concervative and thoughtful solution is needed to put an end to the Promenade proposal .

The intersection is not currently capable of handling that volume of traffic.

Dangerous intersection already. It will be much worse with the increased density.

We do not want to have any development in this area.
We already have a lot a problem getting in and out of Siesta Key.

We have known Siesta Key for 60 years, would want to see it retain some of that early unique quality
And in view of the rising sea levels we find unwise to build on small islands or close to water frontage

Stop building on every square inch in Sarasota. We don’t need to add to our busy, crowded streets.

There is no reason to grant an exception to allow increased density. This is already one of the busiest intersections in Sarasota County.

We cannot approve this for so many reasons including traffic, overuse of the site, regular and sustained citizen input regarding the effect such overdevelopment would cause to the area. IT SEEMS THAT WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO RUIN THE WALKABILITY OF OUR DOWNTOWN SHOULD BE ENOUGH INDICATION THAT THIS TYPE OF OVERBUILDING DOES NOTHING TO ENHANCE OUR CITY OR BEACHES EXCEPT LINE DEVELOPERS POCKETS. I DO NOT LIVE IN THIS CONGESTED AREA BUT I AM PART OF ALL THE IMPOSSIBLE TRAFFIC JAMS ON STICKNEY POINT ROAD AND HAVE MANY COLLEAGUES WHO LIVE IN THIS AREA AND WHAT IT WILL DO TO THEIR HOMESTEADS IN NOISE, TRAFFIC, REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL HARMONY ARE ALL AS OVERWHELMING AS THE AUDACITY OF CITY DECISION MAKERS TO THINK THAT THIS COULD ENHANCE SARASOTA IN ANY WAY.

The Benderson request for an exception to existing zoning violates the peaceful enjoyment of our and neighboring communities. The congestion generated is against the long term economic interests of Siesta Key and important Sarasota visitors; AND more importantly, is against the wishes of neighbors in the surrounding communities. I am not opposed to the development, just the oversized request by Benderson.
