This project will make our traffic horrible, it is already congested and will make it very difficult to live in this neighborhood!!! Please do not let this go through!!

I object to construct the project in its present form and as proposed.

Traffic congestion getting on/off Siesta Key is clearly at its limit. Promoting Siesta Key as a great beach and fun place to visit then approving a high-density development which makes the traffic unbearable work against each other. Many beautiful places get ruined by traffic congestion. A normal development is more than enough.

This area of Sarasota is already congested as it is the main entrance to the beach at Siesta Key. Also, the heights of some of the proposed buildings are substantially greater than anything in the area

Terrible project, which is moving forward despite valid resident and FDOT opposition. If this is approved, the citizens should sue the country to stop it.

Overbuilding and ill- advised development like this threaten to shut down Sarasota as a tourist and residential destination. Recent REDTIDE is our warning

Sarasota needs to consider what is best for ALL of Sarasota's residents. PLEASE think long term effects and at the very least enforce the current zoning regulations - which already stress the neighborhood's infrastructure.

2 (other) points 1. Why does Benderson need it larger- they knew the codes at purchase?! 2. Are the waste, fresh, storm water issues being addressed- proximity to bay cry out excess nutrients and Red tide....

I oppose this increased density plan for Siesta Promenade. The current density rules are in place to help to ensure a desirable community, traffic safety and help protect reasonable access to our island. The intersection of Stickney & 41 is already an "F" according to FDOT - so why would anyone support making the current traffic and safety issues even worse? This is not about whether or not Benderson will build. It's about whether we will require that they abide by the existing density plans. Even with current density plans in place, new beach parking and the new trolley - parking and traffic issues on Siesta Key already generate a large number of complaints from visitors. During season, it already becomes almost unbearable at times. The nearby bridge and the limited access to Siesta Key makes the size of the requested project at this location an absolutely terrible idea. We should oppose this plan with increased density and insist that the development be done in accordance with the current rules in place.

This development will be terrible for Sarasota! Traffic at U.S. 41 and Stickney Point is already awful. If Mr. Benderson really cared for this city, the land would be developed into a park with a large parking lot and shuttle service to Siesta Key. This development will have many negative effects on my neighborhood of Gulf Gate.

I am against this development.

This development is too large a scale to allow reasonable traffic patterns in the area.

Over development & population density is wrecking the quality of so many American towns. Please create your own town to do this with elsewhere.

This would severely impact traffic on I 41

Traffic has already outgrown current access on and off Siesta Key from both north and south ends and burdens surrounding communities to an obviously dangerous and unattractive level. Traffic backups occur routinely on weekends and now, more unsettling, on many week days as well. It's good to see tourism finally pick up a bit but I would hate to see enjoyment reduced for them as it has for many of the permanent residents and owners. Properly mitigating and managing impact of potential new burdens while taking into account return of tourism is paramount.

We have a house off Avenue D and in peak months and peak times throughout the year the traffic delays are already bad at Stickney / 41 junction and the proposal would make matters far worse

I don't see how the traffic in this area can stand the increased volume particularly during season and weekend. We often get gridlock getting on and off the key.
