Block Benderson’s Siesta Promenade Overdevelopment

Siesta is already too crowded. Don't allow density more than current zoning allows.

Fifty years at the same home on Beechwood. In a nut shell Benderson want what they want regardless, but we as home owners want less density and less height

Please consider the long term consequences when casting your votes. Listen to your constituents!

The traffic at the corner of Rt. 41 and Sticky Point Rd is way over capacity and the corner has NOT yet been developed. Just think how many more cars will exit Benderson's corner unto Stickney Point Rd. Already, it is hard to exit the side streets to Stickney Point West. We don't need this type of development on this corner!!!!

As a Siesta Key property owner, I absolutely oppose the density of this project. It's not a positive for the residents or for our visitors. Only the developer will gain.

Seriously how many people ?

As a property owner on Siesta Key, I oppose this project because of the density and likelihood it will adversely impact traffic congestion in the area.

Roads now inadequate during peak season. Proposal would add almost 1,000 cars to the area. Modify to respect CG zoning.

The density rules should be followed exactly as written with no exceptions allowed.

Do NOT over -develop this beautiful area! You will lose tourists' interest and make things hard on the locals!

Please keep density and intensity the same as what would be allowed in a CG zone.

There is no good reason to allow the density proposed by Benderson. During season current congestion getting on and off the Key is intolerable. The intensity proposed by Benderson will severely exacerbate the problem.

Do not approve the Siesta Promenade Siesta key condo owner for 30+ years

I live on Siesta and I go away for the month of March because I can’t even get over the bridge now with all of the traffic

Please, no more construction and no more traffic lights. There is far too much traffic on the south bridge and this will only exacerbate the problem. The commissioners are seeking to maximize their tax dollars, that’s all this is. Reduce the footprint and density of this project or deny it completely.

I am asking the Sarasota County Commission to say no to overdevelopment and increased traffic in an already congested and bottlenecked area. I would like to see that development of the land located at the Stickney Point/US 41 intersection is done in a compatible manner with the surrounding residential neighborhoods and retail establishments. It should not be detrimental to our quality of life, health, safety and welfare, nor cause undue hardship for anyone wishing to access Siesta Key and the beach. Benderson is entitled to a reasonable use of their property, not highest use.

I have lived on the key almost 38 years and have worked in Venice for over 36. I am on the south bridge twice a day going to and from work. Even without this development, trying to get back onto the Key after work is a nightmare! It takes well over an hour during the season to go only 17 miles - a trip that normally takes 25 minutes. I have noticed such an increase in traffic over the years - not just during the main tourist season - there are people coming here all year round now - more and more of them. I am not against development - just against the intense density this project will bring.

This project as proposed creates a public safety issue for the residents of Siesta Key. The increase in traffic will make getting off or on the Key in an emergency almost impossible. The proposed development is too dense for the area.

Please demand that this petition be modified from its current proposal - the intended density will be destructive to the area and will create a major traffic problem - including life-safety.
