Block Benderson’s Siesta Promenade Overdevelopment

I am totality against this project. Reasons against as follows: Traffic on Stickney Pt. Rd. going on and off Siesta Key is a "NIGHT MARE" and more cars, more chance of accidents. In an emergency situation; Fire & Police vehicles would have a serious problem due to congestion that would be caused by this development. I wonder how many commissioners who vote "YES" for this project live on Siesta Key. Are they oblivious to the future problems or is their "YES" more than meets the smell test?

No to changing to increased density zoning. Use reasonable use. It is the right thing to do.

Allow development per zoning allowed at time of purchase only. Do not allow variance.

I'm opposed to this over development and question why the CAP process has not been properly followed.

Approval of Benderson Development CAP will be a traffic congestion disaster. When the bridge goes up the backups on Stickney Point Road and U.S. 41 will be horrific. PLEASE DO NOT APPROVE.

The County Commission should uphold the zoning which applies to this piece of property. A CAP is inappropriate and has not been properly established, i.e. there is no map of boundaries for the CAP. We elected the Commissioners to uphold county zoning and that's what they should do.

Do not approve the Siesta Promenade. I have a siesta key condo for 31 years and am not in favor of this.

This project, as currently outlined, is too crowded (dense) and does not fit the character of the site. It is unacceptable that the Sarasota County Commission seems to continue to ignore the public's concerns about this development. This project should be stopped and reconsidered with the concerns of the residents taken into account.

Strongly oppose. Your decision as our representatives will affect Siesta Key for decades. Have the courage to make the right choice.

I am totally against Bendersons plan. It will be a disaster for those living on the key for traffic and safety!! He should have researched this BEFORE he purchased the land. I hope the commissioners actually listen to the residents on this matter

I’m not opposed to developing this corner, I am opposed to over developing it. This project would be way too much traffic, congestion and headaches for area residents. Stop thinking of the tax dollars and development, and start thinking of the residents of Sarasota.

The project appears to be too big for the area. Do the traffic study during the tourist season to see just how congested SPR is.

The Siesta Promenade Project as currently proposed will be very detrimental to the area.

Don't allow greater density than current zoning allows. Don't close any roads.

We are all watching very closely and will vote accordingly next election with each Commissioner being held accountable by their respective districts
