There are many areas that aren't next to neighborhoods for Martin Marietta to build their plant.

An asphalt plant doesn't belong so close to a neighborhood and school. I support new business, however not at the detriment of existing communities.

My home is located right behind this location. My child suffers from Asthma and this will force us to sell.

we the people in River Walk Division, are concerned about are health.
There are several side effects from exposure to asphalt fumes include headache, skin rash, sensitization, fatigue, reduced appetite, throat and eye irritation, cough, and skin cancer.

This absolutely won't cut it!!! Especially with the school nearby, along with hotels and restaurants, etc. having to endure the smell that could and will hamper everyday activities and/or routines.

We do not want this plant on Weddington Road. We have several schools and neighborhoods in the area that do not need to be exposed to chemicals affecting the air quality and housing value.

There is already enough noise and traffic from the Speedway and Walmart in the area. There are many residents with asthma who the emissions will effect directly.

I'm sure there are better places to build this facility. The dust and soot would settle on our playgrounds and our backyards. I vote no

This should not be built in a residential area.

This needs to be placed elsewhere; zoned industrial.

Wanting to build an asphalt plant in close proximity to a school and private homes tells you already about Martin Marietta's mindset.
Total disregard to the quality of life for this community.
It's an absurd application and should not be allowed.

They need to put it on their land near the airport. Having the landfill odor is bad enough. We shouldn't have to be surrounded by fumes.

Martin Marietta has proven time and again that it's more interested in padding bank accounts (to the point of blatant deception: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/business/article23225229.html) than doing anything good for the community. Asphalt plant (and all the negative impacts it would bring) aside, such businesses have no place in our community. Period.
