All 8th grade students believe it is unfair and wrong to cancel the Washington D.C. trip because of past behaviors. This past overnight trip is not an excuse for repealing the upcoming one because in 2015, the trip was a great success. Siblings of 10th grade students now, hear about the new friends made, the closer their grade became, and experiences they had. The actions and behaviors of the past eight grade students should not effect the opportunities for the current eight grade students. The Blind Brook class of 2021 is not the class of 2020. Our privileges should not be taken away due to assumptions made from the behaviors of former middle school students. Our privilege to use our cellular device during lunch time had been taken away, and that irritated us. Now the trip we have been looking forward to for years has slipped away. Out of our reach. It was not our faults and we did not display any dramatically poor behavior that would lead to such a consequence. We have rights of our own and such include not being defined by assumptions. We deserve our own voice, our own chance, and our own reputation.
