Berwind Lake is the one thing left in our little town the people have to hold on to. We all share so many memories of the lake. It binds us all in some way. The area has lost so much. Please don't let them lose this.

This lake is a wonderful place in our very small community, i is one of the very few things , the youth around here still have. People complain about McDowell county, but i used to be a wonderful place until everything was "cut" please reconsider your plans !!!

McDowell county don't have much as it is berwind lake has been part of McDowell's history as far as far as i can remember I don't think its right to take it from us now

I love brewing lake I hunt and fish there we have cook outs every year. Best place in West Virginia

My family and I Love Berwind Lake. Honestly, it's the only thing we have around here and it offers so many different activities to families, churches and schools. There are to many good things there, and I can't see taking away a single thing. Everything there is a part of the Lake as well as us. We have all grown a special place in our hearts for the Lake and it would be a shame to see anything taken from it, or to see it unkempt to where children wouldn't be able to fish in their favorite spots during the summer. The pool is the only pool we have as a community. For those who can't afford to buy pools for the summer, this pool serves its purpose. Take away one small thing from us and you take away a piece of our heart.

This is a beautiful area and has served the public well. Why discontinue something that is so vitally important to a needy area, and why McDowell County again?? If memory serves me correctly, I believe McDowell County still belongs to West Virginia --

Why do they always target us in their cut-backs? Why not Beckley or Clarksburg, or even Charleston? The State has taken our schools and our identity already, are they trying to turn us into a refuse dump?
