Please keep these facilities open! This area has so few amenities and the young people need something positive.

The community of War/Berwind have so little to keep children occupied in the summer months. To take away this source of keeping them busy only gives them more opportunities to find trouble to get into. Surely, funding can be allocated for this pool and shelter area.

Berwind Lake is an important aspect of the area. This is one of the few areas offering activities and is so important, especially for the young people.

Taking these services away from the families in McDowell Co. would be tragic. This beautiful serene place has so many memories for all of us. As teens we hung out there; as young parents we took our kids there and as older adults we fish and appreciate the memories.

I have always loved this lake since I was a young girl and have very fond memories of family reunions and picnics here as well as going to the pool. I truly hope this does not get shut down.

So sad that a county that gave so much over so many years to sustain the need for coal for building our country and so on has lost and had so much taken away from them. We was never given much in return for such sacrifices, we ask that you consider please not taking this away and keep it open and maintained.

this is horrible. you are taking a beautiful piece of the land and throwing it away. As beautiful as Berwind Lake is now.....it could be so much more...NOT LESS! The State takes everything from the poor counties. Build this place up...
