This is the only park and recreational area in the county. Also the shelters and camping are a huge part of this property. There is no way only one person can do the up keep and maintance. I feel that this county has lost enough . It is a shame that you just keep making cuts that effect so many people and no one made this known to public until a couple of days before it takes effect. SAD !!!!!!!

We need our park. It's the best thing for our kids and grandkids. I grew up going to this park.

This lake is vital to the community. Not just for the locals but also for visitors. It is also very necessary for the economy. First, the coal industry, then local businesses, now the only enjoyment people have! Wow! Talk about kicking you when you are down! Leave the Lake alone, everything is fine until the govt gets involved!

Put the lake back under parks and recreation.

Poor McDowell County is losing all of the things that kept its resdients hanging on. Before long, with these type of cuts, the entire southern portion of the state will fall to nothing more than a wildlife preserve. No jobs, no higher education, no recreation... there isn't anything left other than the memories of what was and a few citizens holding on to their heritage. God Bless McDowell County, God Bless West Virgnia.

Come on now!! This is the only thing the kids have to look forward to in the summer. And we wonder why most of the young adults turn to drugs and breaking the law!! They need this.

Leave this place open. This is the only decent place left for the public.

The folks in McDowell County need to lose another job creator and another place to enjoy like we need holes in our heads. Do the right thing.
