Make all attempts to keep the lake functions as they were prior to the recent change. We like to return to McDowell County for vacations and the Lake was a favourite place to visit.

I love this lake, i grew up fishing here, and swimming in the pool, we have so many memories here, and id love for my children to experience memories like i have here

Berwind Lake is the only thing that draws visitors to the area and for the local residents. Please keep things as they are/were.

The only nice thing here in McDowell County and is a nice place to go camp and take the kids while out of school. What are you all trying to do to the people here . The mayor must have something to do with this .

As someone with a niece and two twin nephews at home they need a decent place to play and develop great childhood memories! You take this away,then what are they left with? I'll tell you what, an open door to trouble because they're bored that's what! WE AS CITIZENS AND OUR CHILDREN NEED THIS IN MORE WAYS THEN ONE! PLEASE KEEP IT LIKE IT IS!

There are NO activities in this area for our citizens except for the beautiful area at Berwind Lake. If that is taken from us, it will drive people even further from West Virginia into Taze

Berwind Lake serves the youth of the Big Creek district and general public of McDowell County. It is a beautiful area. We ask for enough funding to maintain a park superintendent, the pool, shelter rentals and campground. Maybe tie in into ATV trails.

I was born and raised just a few miles from the Bluefield area on the Va. side, but this lake is part of my memories. Please heed this petition. God Bless

This area in West Virginia doesn't have an type of enjoyment. Don't take away from the people of War. Please keep Berwind Lake the same so people there and people who come back to visit have the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful place.

Park should be kept. I read they gave money to somewhere else. Why close the park down. This is a beautiful place and many families enjoy this.

Please let us keep Berwind lake as is because we don't have much in McDowell County and the lake is about all we have and it is enjoyed by so many people young and old.
