VDOT has a lot more issues that it needs to tend too. Leave this lovely garden alone!

I am constantly amazed by the willingness to destroy positive aspects of a community. Please VDOT postpone the removal of trees and let the Huntington community care for this space

Common sense and compassion, for people and for nature, suggest that the neighbors should be permitted to continue caring for this land in the cul-de-sac, raising plants and trees, beautifying the area and building community.

I live on Riverview Terrace and fully support the hard work of my neighbors and this project.

Love this! It's right by my house and everyone benefits. It makes NO sense to destroy it.

We've lived in this community since 2011, and the thing we love the most about it is how neighbors come together to make Huntington a beautiful place to live. The community garden is a perfect example of that.

A garden is never a bad thing. A community garden is the best of all.

We are new to the area, and we're (and are) greatly looking forward to participating in this orchard/garden. It was something that made us feel less like we lived on a street, and more like we were entering a community. Please keep the orchard!

I too am a Huntington resident and have put in many hours working the orchard, mulching, pulling up weeds, planting and tending flowers and vegetables. I've met many wonderful neighbors and friends in the circle- which was the first place that neighbors "on the hill" had to come together and work together on a community-driven endeavor. I do not support destruction of the orchard. We need time to obtain whatever permits are required (and for VDOT to answer calls and provide necessary information). The circle was an eyesore before the community orchard.

I am appalled that VDOT would destroy a community garden. Please do not further destroy the fruit trees in the garden. Strongly urge that VDOT meet with the community to discuss options before taking further unilateral action.

This is a great community project and should be commended, not destroyed!
