Demand A North Main Street/U.S. Route 460 Bypass Grade Separated Interchange

I'm at that intersection 4-5 days/week. It's a mess but the R-CUT is worse. Don't waste $$$ on R-CUT. Install grade-separated intersection, please.

I have personally seen the injuries and deaths along with many wrecks at This location. Please don't put a bandaid on this location.

The R-cut plan makes no sense at all. Forcing people to make a U-turn instead of a direct left only exacerbates the problems; not to mention North Main is one of the main entry points of the town. The only sensible solution is an interchange. I can see how the current location would be very expensive for an interchange, but perhaps the interchange could be moved to the 460 straight stretch by rerouting N. Main St. eastward through the neighboring farm land. This new location would make an interchange cheaper to implement.

We do not need more traffic on Givens Lane. The current proposed plan would cause it.

All the plans submitted and particularly the R-cut are near-sighted decision that do not take future growth of the town and traffic into account. Build the grade separated interchange and invest in the growth of the area and the safety of its people.

Infrastructure in Blacksburg needs to keep up with the progress the town is making.

I agree, this will only create more problems elsewhere. We need something more.

Living in Brush Mountain Road for 17 years I have seen (and heard) many accidents at the North Main St. 460 Bypass intersection. This intersection, as well as the Coal Bank Hollow and Brush Mountain Road area, pose real dangers that I experience daily. My 16 year old daughter will be driving soon and I want to see an improvement that will actually help reduce the potential dangers of this section of roadway.

Can't happen soon enough.

I travel this through this intersection daily. I have seen some terrible accidents here and was almost involved in one myself. Please fix the problem!! The R-Cut plan is a waste of money. It will only move the problem to a new location.

Please do the right thing and upgrade this interchange to a grade system. As Blacksburg grows, this will be essential to the safety of travelers to that area.
