I am a local theatrical scenic artist, and I would love to see this space brought back to life. I remember hearing my grandparents talk about going to see shows that the Strand way-back-when, and talk about how grand and beautiful the space was. Having worked in the space several times before, I can say without any reservations that it needs a change. If we can't renovate it, at least restore it to its former beauty. The community deserves more out of this space, and there are so many places in the building itself that could be repurposed for things like dance studios and rehearsal spaces.

A great idea for an under-used space and a community in need of more art--which would be every community!

Let's do what we can to keep the Stand alive and well. The people of Boston deserve it.
