Based on my interactions with Fr. Escalante and Fr. Escalante's interactions with my children, I would not have expected any inappropriate behavior or “boundary issues” from Fr. Escalante. I do not believe the allegations against him and wish his return to our Parish as the pastor.

Peace be with you. It is with a childlike faith that my family prays for truth, peace, and healing for all involved in this disconcerting situation. I have found much comfort in one of Father Escalante's consistent messages about the value of redemptive suffering and offering up our struggles especially for the souls of others. I am sure he has stored up many treasures in Heaven and is entrusting Our Blessed Mother to distribute graces to souls entrusted to his care on earth during this very difficult time. He directed the minds and hearts of his parishioners to Eternal Salvation beyond the pain and challenges of this world. Father is a shepherd who has modeled tremendous faith practices to his sheep....praying 100,000 Rosaries as a Parish, regular offerings of the Divine Mercy Chaplet as a parish, praying for the souls in Purgatory and praying for the dead, additional Masses for 1st Friday Devotions, Consecration to Mary, 40 hours of Adoration, mentoring parishioners into religious life, intercession of the Saints, and most recently the inclusion of the St. Michael prayer at the end of Mass etc.... he has also modeled for his parishioners what is it is suffer greatly and to be in his time in the desert. Jesus taught his disciples the way in his carrying of the Cross. It would bear much spiritual fruit for him to return to the Parish and testify to the true redemptive value of suffering for Our Lord and for souls especially during this Easter season. Please help our Parish experience the joy of seeing the darkness of this time turn to light.

We have known Fr during his time at St Matthews. I feel there is no evidence against him, but plenty indicating this is a false and spiteful accusation.

I am not Catholic but I have met Father Escalante as have my husband, daughter and close friends who are parishioners. Hugging a child - the purported allegation here - is not a sin. As I understand it, this is the only allegation, and a poor one at that.

Please bring back Fr. Escalante who has been falsely accused. He is owed due process and should not be removed based on such flimsy accusations that appear falsified.

Heinous injustice. Get your act together, Diocese of Arlington. Bring him back with full, public clearing.

Please don’t let this good and dedicated Man of God be ruined by anyone who has brought false accusations against him. Especially, in this Easter season. Semper fi

There are people involved who do need to be punished, but Fr. Escalante, as the victim, is not one of them.

The right thing to do is to bring Father Escalante back! The wrong thing is to keep him from our Parish.
