I feel I am not alone in expressing frustration over the teaching methods of Professor Lalitha Ramamoorthy in Biology for Non-Science Majors. I have felt under prepared for quizzes and exams, not due to a lacking of studying but instead to a lack of clear insight as to what a student can expect to find on her exams. We are not given enough time to copy notes presented on Power Point and when we expect them to be on D2L, they are not. Notes written on the chalk board are erased almost as quickly as they are presented. There is no clear determination as to where any of us stand within the course in terms of grade percentage. And I personally have no clue whether she wants us using the book or not as she has given contradicting answers several times so far this semester. If you are as frustrated with the course as I am, I request that you speak to the chair of the Biological Sciences Department. I plan on speaking with Dr. Robert H. Fitts tomorrow afternoon and I feel as though one student will not be able to make any where near the significant an impact as a group of people will. That is why I am requesting that those who are struggling in the Biology for Non-Science Majors course make an appointment with Dr. Robert H. Fitts as soon as possible or express your concern over the teaching methods of the course so changes can be made appropriately for the benefit of all student participates. Thank You.
