I have spent the last few days meeting with local business owners who agree that an urban grocery option would transform our downtown core. It is frustrating to watch them prioritize sprawling parking lots over walkable community hubs when a perfectly good building sits vacant right here in the heart of Biddeford.

Seeing the community rally behind the idea of walking to our groceries instead of driving out to a strip mall leaves me truly breathless. This momentum confirms that so many of us are ready for a downtown that serves our daily needs without the struggle of a long commute.

PLEASE!! I would walk there every single day. The old Renys is just sitting there empty anyway.
i moved here from away and miss having a trader joes close by. biddeford would be perfect for one.
Sick of getting in my car just to get groceries. Put it downtown so we can actually use the space.
Biddeford is growing so fast and we really need more options downtown instead of driving all the way to Scarborough.
WAY better than a strip mall. Support local walkable areas.

Trader Joe's long term former employee and loyal customer just retired to Kennebunkport and will support a store in The area.
