cannot imagine someone thought of moving the library outside the academy, it should stay, of course!
one needs all basic tools within reach of the atelier. library is a basic necessary tool as important as any other workshop there. so keep it!

I spent half of my schooltime in that library and some of those books still speak to me. It’s a nescesity to provide a library for students in order to contextualise their work. Without the closeness of the works of others we might as well all quit!

De bibliotheek hoort vlak naast de ateliers te liggen. Je moet er elke dag kunnen binnenlopen, zonder drempel. En ook: de bibliotheekhamster wil helemaal niet verhuizen.

I agree that a specialized library is vital at any Art School. When I studied in Chile in the 90s it was the only way to learn and appreciate from the international art scene, both historical and contemporary. The internet is not the same, it's a completely different experience to sit down and hold, feel, look, and read a book.
