De wisselwerking tussen bibliotheek, studenten, docenten en bibliothecarissen is een noodzakelijke biotoop voor een kunstschool. Een bibliotheek in een kunstschool zonder bibliothecarissen is als een laptop zonder voeding. De kennis is dan wel opgestapeld, maar kan niet ontsloten worden. De bijzonder waardevolle en rijke bibliotheek-cultuur van LUCA die er nu heerst, maakt dat die kennis leeft, ontsloten en doorgegeven wordt. Het is gewoon een voorbeeld van hoe het moet zijn. De beslissing om kennis in stilte op te sluiten kan toch niet door een universiteit met verstandige mensen genomen worden?
