The administration confirmed that the bathroom doors are being reinstalled. We are monitoring the facility work to ensure the project reaches completion.
Sign this petition to ask the administration to put the doors back on the bathrooms at Buffalo High School. If you have not already, please take this anonymous survey as well. Please only sign if you are a Buffalo High School student.
I have compiled the initial survey data and am currently drafting a formal report to present to the school board. Administrative offices have acknowledged receipt of our preliminary request for a meeting to discuss privacy standards. Please continue to monitor your email for updates regarding the meeting schedule.

This change doesn’t reduce the problem of vaping in any way as there is no logical way to see if someone is vaping unless you are in the bathroom. Removal of the doors if anything reduces safety during a lockdown as the bathrooms are now not an option, the automatic lights take far too long to turn off and are insanely easy to spot from down the hall.

This isn't realistic. Put the doors back on! It's amazing with all the technology we have and the money just put into security cameras (that don't get used) they couldn't come up with a better alternative.

Although vaping in bathrooms can be an issue, removing the doors will not solve any problems. They will simply find somewhere else to vape whilst everyone needing to use the restroom is made extremely uncomfortable.

I have to hold my pee all day because it will echo into the halls. Vaping still goes on even in classrooms it doesn’t stop anything.

The removal of the bathroom doors takes away from our students' dignity and privacy. The removal of the doors is also punishment of everybody for a few people's actions which is morally wrong.

I am a prior student from here so i don’t know how much my input will make a difference but taking away the bathroom doors to me is a huge violation of privacy. Taking away a door is not going to change that fact of kids vaping they will just find somewhere else to continue to do it or do it in the bathroom still but to have the bathroom doors wide open for anyone walking by to look in as they please is not okay!
