It has been two years now since I have graduated from Belleville High School and I regard Holowicki as one of my favorite educators and mentors. I had Holowicki for AP World History and she was the sponsor for the school's debate club that my peer and I formed. From in-class discussions to after-school conversations, it has always been evident that Holowicki has an irrefutable passion for teaching and sharing her love for knowledge. Belleville High School cannot afford to lose this teacher.

I, a belleville high school student, who has been taught by Holowicki, believe that this is unjust. Holowicki, or Mrs. Kennedy, has been unjustly evaluated. I do not understand as a student trying to make my voice heard, why our superintendent can make the decision to terminate one of the best teachers at Belleville, teaching one of the harder Ap classes, and still say “yep. There’s nothing wrong with this.” I don’t see the that to be humanly right. To terminate a teacher’s career because of evaluations done barely once a semester, by admin walking into the class unannounced while we are doing readings or worksheets to help us comprehend the weeks lessons. What part of that is fair? I say Kudlak gives her the chance, give US the chance, to show what she teaches us on a daily basis, 5 days a week, cramming a years worth of info into a few months for the Ap test. Then he can decide to terminate her. Give her the chance she’s needs Kudlak. You know we’re not gonna back down from this.

Mrs.Hollowicki is one of the best teachers at BHS, in the class she was able to capture the attention of all of her students and give them the foundation to even get college credits. Outside of the class every student knew that they could go to her for any problem they had. Getting rid of Mrs.Hollowicki would be a terrible loss for the school and especially all the students that she has had and the students that would never have the pleasure of being in her class.

Mrs Holowicki has been a wonderful, challenging, open and honest teacher for my daughter. It would be a tremendous loss to the district, and most importantly the students, to dismiss her. My daughter has felt a freedom to be herself in Holowicki's class, which I truly appreciate as a parent. She has challenged her and also helped her achieve her goals. The students will feel this loss on a personal level and I sincerely hope the district reconsiders.

I typically hate taking history classes, but she made learning about world history easy and fun. She even prepared me enough for the AP test enough that I could get a 4 (my highest AP test score).

I love holowicki, hands down one of the best humanities teacher I’ve ever had. So many good experiences in her class. Discussions were in depth and very intellegently put together. Absolutely no reason to let her go. She’s one of those teachers that people wait years to be with and it’s a crying shame that she won’t be able to influence the lives of any other students after this year.

Mrs. Holowicki is an invaluable asset to the social studies department at BHS. She uses tried and tested methods to ensure that her students recieve only the highest quality education there is. She makes learning content, no matter how difficult or complex, a simple and easy endeavor, reinforcing lessons taught in class with additional readings and supplementary work. She also makes herself available whenever possible to students for extra help with coursework and to help deal with personal problems. Mrs. Holowicki plays a critical role in the social studies department and is one of the most effective AP World History teachers there is.

I was lucky enough to have Mrs.Holowicki in both AP world and World Cultures. What I loved about Holowickis class was that she always made it so I could enjoy what we were learning, and want to learn more. She was able to get us more involved in things we did, like when we created a whole fundraiser for underprivileged families who needed help getting hygiene supply’s before the holidays. Holowicki always saw her students as people first, always wanting to make sure we were happy and trying to help us out if we were ever down. We truly need more teachers like her.

Ms. Holowicki's/Mrs. Kennedy is one of the best teachers I have ever had the pleasure of being assigned. In AP world history class, she deeply engaged the class with assignments, debates, small lectures, and educational videos. As her student, I not only learned to memorize facts of the past, but I was given a true understanding of his history is relevant today and how it has produced today's social, political, and economic issues. I felt very enriched from taking her class and extremely well prepared for the AP exam. Although she had some absences due to health issues, she remained in contact and we were still able to continue learning while she was gone because she always left us the proper assignments and quizzes according to our detailed schedule. She is a compassionate and intelligent teacher and person, and I, along with many other students, do not see how she is underperforming in anyway.

Mrs. Holowicki has provided me with inspiration beyond that of the educational field. She has taught me so much in life beyond school and I could not ever imagine BHS without her. She continues to be one of my favorite teachers and does not deserve to be let go.
