This is a petition to show everyone that we need better security for bus terminals and train stations in Canada. Airports have a large amount of security...so why are trains and buses any different This past week a young man named Tim McLean was killed in a horrific tragedy onboard a Greyhound bus here in Canada because a man with a hunting knife walked freely on the bus. The man then out of the blue and with no warning stood up and attacked poor Tim in his sleep, and after using the knife multiple times, decapitated this poor victim. If we had better security for buses or trains there is a good chance this may not have happened and Tim may have still been here with us. We need security guards with wands checking passengers before they board the bus or train, or even have a metal detector like at the airport that you have to walk thru in order to get onboard, or an x-ray machine. Anything is better then nothing. Lets not let another rare but tragic event like this happen again...PLEASE sign this petition and lets show the government that they need to pass a law saying train stations and bus terminals MUST have some kind of security. Its for your safety and mine.
