My account was hacked and Instagram's so called "Help Center". The hacker poses a threat to my information on the account, and also to the people that follow me.

Instagram has not helped at all, despite my account being hacked, despite numerous people reporting, despite constantly contacting Instagram nothing has happened and unfortunately too many people have been hacked and Instagram has failed them repeatedly. It is clear that Instagram needs to take accountability for its lack of action on this issue. It’s easy for hackers to change username, passwords, email addresses and phone numbers, so it’s not helpful!!

My 9-year-old account (@katinkaknits) under the email [email protected] was hacked and taken over on March 22, 2022. I have reported this to Instagram numerous times. The hackers changed the email address, password, and username (to @katiinkakinits_). When I tried to report the account as impersonating me, I received an automated response that the account was not violating community guidelines. In the meantime, at least one of my followers was also hacked and the account has started posting Bitcoin propaganda, which another friend called me about today. I have lost 9 years of history, photos, followers, and reputation. This type of hacking should be addressed and hacked accounts disabled and content restored to the rightful owners.

My account gotten hacked in December.
I tried everything, face recognition - denied, since I don’t have photos. I tried support, but no response, I tried 2FA - nothing, hacker disabled it.
Please help.
I reported my hacked account and so did my friends but nothing received in email!

My account was hacked on 21/12/2021 and Instagram is not doing anything to help. I have reported but nothing has been done. I would really love any assistance.

My account was disabled for violating the Term of Use, apparently. Turns out that I was hacked. I know this because I found out through their "verification process" that a verification email has been sent to an email that I cannot recognize. I have never registered this email address to my account. Instagram never responded to my "mugshot emails". I really hate Instagram now. Keep this up Instagram, and you'll garner more haters.

I have been hacked with all my information changed on my profile. Instagram should for sure care just as much as the petition for deactivated accounts, especially because a hacked account can do more damage by resulting in other people being hacked if they’re able to dm personal friends and family.

I’ve sent the forms over and over and no help from IG. I sent the picture of me holding the paper with the code and all info they requested. This is just crazy!
