Better Plan to Avoid Three-week Closing of Sea Island Road

Unbelievable, plus safety issues in the gridlock!

I live at the north end of the island and have a child at Glynn middle. The closing of Sea Island Causeway is going to result in my child having to leave his house at least 30 mins earlier and getting home much later than usual. Please consider a different approach.

Do repairs at night. Actually work. Signs have been up that work is being done on Sea Island Road and there is hardly ever anyone doing any work???? Will Alan Ours be at Jekyll's Comedy Night? Find another route. How many does he think we have?

As an alternative.. How about doing the repairs at night when most people are off the roads..

Insane! They could build a temporary bypass. This Island will come to a complete gridlock if they close the road.

The road closure plan is too extreme - traffic will be grid locked on the island. This is irresponsible - certainly not a service to the community. If there was a St. Simons Island city government this would never happen,

Could this please wait til summer...after school is out? That would eliminate at least half of the traffic.

Continued development will result in traffic this bad all the time.

This decision appears to work best for the Water and Sewer Commission. It certainly isn't the best solution for visitors and residents of SSI. Other communities have this type work done in off hours under lights. The Commission needs to rethink their decision.
