Better Plan to Avoid Three-week Closing of Sea Island Road

Do not close but have them work at night

I live on the Island and to close that road will be a big problem for every business and schools all over the island the traffic will come to a stop and cause so many issues

This is my work route. The closure will cause at least another 20-30 minutes for my commute every day. That sounds awful!

Keep at least one lane open or do the work at night! And have you talked with Glynn County School transportation department? The bus route to include times of pick up and drop off will be significantly affected! That means parents will be significantly affected! Some middle and high school children don't get off the bus till 5 as it is now. With the bottle neck traffic already at the round about at 5pm plus the added north and sea island work traffic children will get home even later. The bus route will be significantly affected! THE COUNTY SHOULD NOT BE ALOUD TO JUST SAY "RESIDENTS WILL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER WAY!" Really?!!?!!!?? That's awesome planning!

Maybe working @ night would avoid heavy traffic delays ! Heaven forbid a real Evacuation w/ the road closure ! It'd would spell disaster !

When there is just a little work done in an eyebrow lane near the HT it causes a traffic back up for over a mile and takes 30 minutes to get to the red light. Imagine a total closure. It's going to be crazy and people are going to be late to work and school for weeks.

There are other ways to complete this project. It took long enough to prepare. This is going to cause a lot of problems for caregivers and their patients!

The intersection of Kings Way and Demere Rd at the island entrance/exit round-about is already a mess, what I call "Malfunction Junction". With the closure of Sea Island Rd we'll have the closest example of disaster evacuation of the island on a daily basis. BGJWSC and Island administrators can do better for the residents.

Working at night seems logical and supportive of all those that need to travel this route. Please consider this option ...

This will be hell. Please prevent this -- this will be horrible for not only North End residents like me but also for anyone visiting the island!!

There needs to be serious consideration given to the impact of completely closing this road during peak travel times. All of Our kids on this Island will be late to school every day for 3 weeks... Or have to leave an hour earlier! Unacceptable Glynn County!

Please, please, please find another way! Traffic is going to be unbelievably bad if Sea Island Rd is closed.

I travel through this road every day for work. I already have to leave early to make sure I get to work on time because there already is slow moving traffic.

Seems very inconvenient for SSI residents? Do the work at night with portable night lighting. Other cities do this - i. e. Houston.

Close it from 9PM-5Am and work then that's an 8 hour day
