Whatever is needing to be done can't warrant this kind of ridiculous-ness

This is how a lot of people get to work. We can't just be late every day. And some of us can't leave any earlier due to other responsibilities.

night work is the only reasonable answer!!! How can shutting down sea island rd really be realistic in terms of convenience for anyone!?

I agree... There has to be another solution to this situation, gridlock is extremely bad already on this island.

Blame all of this on IPC & GCC for their greedy unethical approval of over development on the Island. With over 700 vacant properties on the Island No future plate Should be approved and when that number is down lower any future development needs to pay for itself
At least $5000.00 per lot & no cutting of old growth trees

Another problem caused by Island Planning Commission & Glynn County Commissioners for PPP & allowing developers to cut trees & over develope
Causing Danger & Health & Safety concerns to existing full time residents
And Future Expense by not charging Empact fees for ANY new Development.

Close Sea Island Rd for a month!! Even a fifth grader knows what a dumb decision this is. What about emergency
vehicles?? Are we going to have deaths due to delays in getting to the hospital. How about a fire.

I am a mobile business that serves Saint Simons Island and Sea Island. I don't think I will be able to complete my schedule each day due to all the traffic delays.

There has to be a way this can be handled differently! What about one lane closure at different times of the day? Make Vassa Cate pay people for their extra gas they are having to buy or something, if it weren't for him this wouldn't be an issue!

There are only two routes off this island. . .Demere or Sea Island. When we are told to "find another way" it makes it sound like we have multiple choices, which we don't. What will Demere look like with the whole island using it to get off and on the Causeway?

Complete closure of Sea Island Rd will cause chaos for residents. Why not do single lane closure or night work to mitigate the impact? Seems like more planning could have been invested prior to making this decision.

I agree. We should not be ruining our Island. It's sad. I've lived on the Island my whole life. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!
