Suggest night work with lights.

Water & Sewer Comm. suggested we find alternatives to Sea Island Road. There is only one other way. There are no alternatives.

Ridiculous

This is insane. How are emergency vehicles supposed to get people from the North end off of the island quickly? Why not use a one lane road solution to this? Greed yet again rears its ugly head around here.

Not agreeing on the closing of Sea Island Road

Please find another way! The road closing will endanger people needing emergency services, and cause huge traffic issues. How about work at night or just close one Lane?

This closing will strangle our Island. Merchants beware. Emergency situations will be dire situations. Comerce will be stifled.

The plan doesn't make sense given the importance of the thoroughfare to the island residents. If nothing else let it be open during the busiest hours of the morning and evening (7:00 - 8:30 am and 4:30 - 6:00 pm). Come on people! We can do better

Sea Island Rd. is a critical thoroughfare. One way off in the morning and one way on in the evening would be a much better option than total closure. Or work at night!

I'm not too familiar with the island and I work over there. I only know how to get to work and off the island so it will be very difficult for me to find another route.

More thought and effort on this is needed by the JWSC and County Commission. At least consider making the road one way out in the morning and one way in for the afternoon. It will not help to simply "leave earlier" and "find another route" for parents with children in Glynn County schools, since we haven't heard of any plans that the schools will open any earlier or stay open later. This will impact not only the Island schools, but students and teachers who leave the Island to attend or teach at GMS, GA, and other schools. An alternate route (we have only one for the entire Island population) is of no use if traffic is in gridlock. This creates additional concerns for public safety and emergency response.

Alan Ours has apparently never been on the Island if he thinks you can simply "find another route." What he needs to do is find another way to get this done without completey closing the road during the busy/peak hours of the day! Not only will this be a suspended major inconvenience related to school and work hours but it is dangerous to only have one way off! What about an emergency situation??

Given all the other alternatives (night crews, off hour work, etc.), I can't fathom why this is necessary. I guess those of us directly effected will just have to remember this come election time.

There's such limited ways of traveling on the island, it will be such an inconvienance to shut down a major road for almost a month

I think this work could be better planned, so that roads would not need to be entirely closed. This affects everyone living and working mid North Island and North Island. The traffic is already horrible several times of day with this road functioning, so we can only Imain the delays and traffic jams to come.

Please do the work at night!
