Better Plan to Avoid Three-week Closing of Sea Island Road

I live in Brunswick and work on the North End of the island Monday-Friday as well as some weekends. This will be a huge inconvience for me as well as many others. I will have to leave twice as early to get to work on time and then go home twice as late. I will also be spending extra money for gas. There has to be another way!

All planned and engineered by a JWSC commissioner charged with felony family violence! Leaves no questions as to the lack of competence in this projects planning!

There's got to be a better way than "find another way"

Is this the best our county leaders can do? Another example of how we are being led by a failed generation, with no ability to plan or be help accountable. Shame!

At the very least one lane of the Sea Island Road should be open to decrease traffic on other routes to Sea Island and to the nothern end of SSI. This would, I believe, decrease the congestion on Fredrica Road, inhance safety, decrease pollution & save travel time. Saving money is no substute for safety & convenience. So, I urge a rethinking of the plan to close Sea Island Road until construction of the line system is complete. Please leave one lane open at all times.

If I am inconvenienced. I will inconvenience you back. It is stupid to close a main highway. The work can be done at night and the road closed at interval as needed when heavy work is in progress

DO you have any idea how many people travel back and both to the causeway to work and shop and to the doctors?? Demere is impossible!

Have ya'll notified GMS, GA, and other schools that kids will be late for three weeks? There is NO way we will be able to get our kids to school on time if Sea Island Rd is closed. Anyone north of Harris Teeter will suffer the most. This is going to be an absolute mess!

Expecting absolute gridlock on the entire island for three weeks. MUST be a better plan.

Please leave one lane open during morning and afternoon rush hour.

It will take forever for everyone to get children to school and get to work on time.

Bad Idea. How in the hell am I going to get to work? They going to helicopter us to work from the fishing pier? Who in their right mind would do something like this? Let's vote them out......

Really worried about alternate route with delays and the double lanes in the round-about. Motorist are not considerate through the round-about.

They need to change the plan to 1. Not close it at all during rush hours 2. Staff enough on duty cops to direct traffic during rush hours or 3. Work on the project 24 hours per day to shorten the time the road is closed from 18 days to 6. In any event the systems that reuire road closures to do maintenanc or upgrades shoul be re-engineered to avoid this in the future.

Typical, someone in Brunswick making decisions for SSI with out any thought to the residents and the gridlock that they will create. Because this the a business venture, the public roads should not be completely closed.

Definitely a night shift work or possibly one way...off the island in the am and on the island in pm to help with work traffic.

ideally, closing the roads at night is significantly better than all day. this way it isnt such a major issue for delayed travel time.

It is very wrong to stop all traffic on Sea Island Road for that length of time. I believe it unsafe for our community

This road closing will cause so much more traffic for this little island than there already is.
