We fish blue Mesa regularly from Montrose, my kids would be devastated.

I’m an RN and I work at the Montrose hospital and live in Gunnison. These closures will cause many issues with going back and forth.

I live smack dab in the closure area, and work at Arrowhead Mountain Lodge, this affects me immensely.

This will devastate Southwestern Colorado.

Why even do this project?

Personally think a better-straighter road will increase speeds and danger... therefore a mistake!! But the original plan will also drastically impact the area's economy at a time we can't afford it to!

The original closure will have such negative impact on so many aspects of an already struggling economy.

It will be catastrophic if we don't have more access to the Little Blue Canyon. Unbelievable we have to get a petition to make this happen.

Please protect our community by devising a better system of traffic control during the much needed reconstruction of Little Blue Canyon.

You can't close the canyon like this. We need to let traffic through...the fires last summer prove it. The plan is poorly executed.

I have property in Arrowhead and had wanted to build there this summer. Because of the road construction contractors do not want to do jobs in the area or have to considerably raise their prices for lost down time. It has made it to where I am going to have to delay building our home there.

The current plan to close shows how much the state cares for the Western Slope. We don’t matter to the high and mighty in Denver.

Please give this serious consideration--

Hwy 50 is a major distribution highway. Please create a compermise that will assist all interested parties.

Please keep the highway open for traffic in and out of the valley and to allow property owners, ranchers, and farmers in the area to have the needed time for access to and from their properties.

This completely affects the folks in Arrowhead. Many are retired and live there full time. Should anyone need medical care during the shut down periods there will be no way to get to a hospital except by air. Plus many folks who own lots up in Arrowhead and who were planning to begin building will no longer be able to do so for 2 years. That is just not right.

We need extended travel hours

The extra funds needed to keep the road open longer are well worth it to save the Montrose economy, keep tourism viable, and provide safer travel (enabling us to avoid Rt. 70!)

This will destroy the economy of the Western Slope, including farmers, tourist, etc. Option 2 is needed.
