This will destroy the economy of western CO, AG product shipments will be interrupted, tourism destroyed and most importantly jeopardizes the safety of the whole area. Can you imagine if we have a bad fire season and equipment can not be rushed to the scene and we have destruction of the national forest and private property. If this project was on the front range, it would not be proposed in this manner. Add additional hours please.

Option 2 is needed. Without it the total economic loss (Agriculture, timber, all business and JOBS) to Montrose County could well exceed $50 million.

This is tantamount to sequestering Gunnison's population and I find the plan incredibly unsafe for those residents.

There are so many factors to figure in this project. Economy to surrounding communities being number one. May thoughtful thinking not egos be the reason to make the right decision.
