Before the health emergency, I was just barely staying ahead of my bills and obligations. Now, in one fell swoop, everything has come to a screeching halt. The avalanche of debt I was previously staying two steps ahead of has now overtaken me. Now, I’m paying rent on a high interest credit card that is very nearly reaching its limit. I am a new small business owner, started in late 2018. Since the disaster relief loan for small business application does not include my earnings from 2019, it’s likely I won’t get the assistance I need to stay afloat. I remember the day I started my business. I was so excited. I felt I just broke free from the wage earners glass box and would finally have a chance at making a decent living. Now, post-health emergency, I have nothing, even less than my employees because I can’t file for unemployment. What I thought would be a beautiful dream is now a nightmare.

United we stand, we need a plan that supports our freedoms. Be us big or small businesses, or independent workers. We all contribute to our nation. We are all suffering. Independent workers have been subject to unreasonable tax rates, as some dont even earn above the poverty line. They are excluded from assistance when they are forced out of work, and now overlooked amongst the stimulus bill. The government should hold no person or business over another. The government serves all. What has happened to equal rights?

Because I provide services for which I ONLY get paid for face-to-face contact, this heath emergency is taking a SERIOUS toll on my ability to support my family, pay my mortgage and other bills. I support this economy as much as any employee and business. Why are we being treated as though we are invisible?

As a Lyft Driver and Airbnb host my income has come to a grinding halt. Before this crisis I could pretty much count on 100-120 a day with Lyft and my Airbnd for 300-900 p a month. Now I have 1000 to my name and no hope for the next weeks and or months. We need emergency funds. I worked in the corporate world for 33 years and paid taxes! Now its time for the government to help us. 1200 isn’t going to come close to what’s needed to live for months with no income! We need weekly benefits and assurance that we will mot be evicted or lose our homes! Please help us!!!

As a self employed worker in Real Estate I think we need to start focusing on the people of this country not the corporations! This is hitting all of us very hard and we need to make sure people can take care of themselves and their families.

I own a pet sitting business for 12 years now and made over $3k a month average and now have zero clients as everyone is staying home or lost jobs and will not be traveling for the foreseeable future. No safety net as last year was injured badly and used my reserves. My husband is in the event business self employed as well and has been for ten years. Never have had no receivables or been unable to pay bills before even during hurricanes as they only last a short while. We and others who work hard and stimulate the economy need help. Please assist.

My husband & I are both self employed. We pay more for health ins have no safety net and now with COVID19 my husband is not working, I’m only seeing 1/2 if my clients online. We may survive for 1-2 month and it would wipe us out financially. Or worse use up our retirement. I have contacted my fed and state representatives to not forget about us.

I'm self-employed and specialize in marketing events hosted by entrepreneurs and non-profits. I've lost $2,000 worth of income due to the virus.

I am a self employed person who works with special needs kids and adults. I provide a great service & make just enough money to cover my bills. The self employed who have been shut down like everyone else are struggling as much, or more than everyone else because we also pay for our own health insurance on top of everything else! Why am I and other self employed people being left out of the stimulus package!???! \

I am self employed as a chiropractor and have already seen a loss of 2000.00 per month. This is unsustainable for my family. Any help is welcome. I would say if the mortgage payments could be deferred for a few months & those payments added on to the end of the loan that would be most helpful to us.

Everyone needs to be included in the relief package, not just employees.

Everyone who pays taxes should be included. Private contractors, self employed all help this country run during good times. They need the most help during difficult times.
