Shouldn't have to clip off Caltrain, then clip on to BART, when transferring from Caltrain to BART at Milbrae. That should be handled in a single step when going through the BART turnstile.

Clipper is part of Cubic, a weapons and missile contractor. We should propose that the next contract use any of our local developers that are not also building weapons.

Caltrain: eliminate fare zones and use a distance charging method.
Clipper system: improve speed and efficiency of value add process.
Clipper system: allow purchase of passes from cash wallet .
Clipper system: Implement daily caps instead of day passes (like TFL Oyster) .
SCMTD/VTA: Add Highway17 Express service to system

Tag on/off speed is too slow. Everywhere else in the world it is nearly instantaneous, here we have to deal with misread cards, backed up lines to tag on/off and several seconds delay when it should be instantaneous.

Caltrain monthly pass holders should be able to tag on/tag off at anytime during the month, not just the first few days of the month. We've already paid for our pass, we shouldn't lose the money just because we weren't able to take the train at the first of the month.

Use the same distance-based fare system for BART and Caltrain, with no extra charge for transferring between the two. The fact that BART and Caltrain are separate systems is an inconvenience forced on riders by regional politics, riders should not have to pay extra because of it.
