The administration has officially committed to adding new printing stations across campus to accommodate our student needs. It is encouraging to see our collective concerns lead to such a practical change for our daily lives at Berklee. We will monitor the installation phase to ensure these upgrades are implemented effectively …

Berklee Student Government Association is trying to help in the effort to improve printing campus-wide.

We'd love to hear your voice as students as we work with administration to find a solution to our needs.

Berklee College of Music has only 1 printer for every 1,200 students, and 1 copier for every 1,600 students. In order to reduce the time we spend waiting to print, we are working to develop a strategy to meet the printing demands of our student body.

We'd love to see a comprehensive campus-wide printing package that would enhance efficiency, that would allow us to print in color, print our scores, improve wireless reliability, and increase our overall productivity as we continue to set the standard as a preeminent musical force in the world.

The focus should be to make wifi printing as direct, consistent, and reliable as possible: regardless of where you are in the reading room, without having to log out and delete and re-add the printer to wifi settings constantly, etc.

If a university holds courses that require their students to deliver their work in hard copies, it is only justified that the college then gives the students efficient means by which to do so--especially an institution which is based upon reading and writing scrit in order to produce art.

Campus-wide printing is a must for a college of this size. A printer center in every major Berklee building (150/142/136, 160, 1140, 1108, 22, 921/939, and 7) can't be that hard to install.

If it takes longer to print than it does to compose 32 bars, that's a problem. We need enough printers to service the number of students that are paying to attend Berklee.

Trying to print at Berklee is a complete nightmare. I have missed classes, appointments, meeting, etc., because of the school's inability to provide a decent printing system.

Yes please. I had to spend $200 to print scores because 60 pages were too much. Most film scorers/composers print that much paper everyday, so I don't know why the best/progressive music school is not letting us print that much paper.

The printers have always problem paper jam out of tuner or doesn't connect to the server, and also in Berklee College of Music are around 6000 people studying and they just have 1 printer, for all the 6000, and almost every other day has some problem! and it just have 2 computers! and 1 iPad for realize the works! I always find uncomfortable to print there it is slow to print because I have to wait a long line for use one of the computers, and it get worst when we are in midterms or final exams. Now, we have 3 copie machines but almost always have some troubles...technical difficulties. It is just frustrating. And, it is more frustrating when I thought in the cost of the tuition, and look how not good developed is this service for us...

There should be student accessible printers in each campus building This does not mean printers that belong to your professor or an office or department. Each building has a lobby and I see no reason why we can afford a new sign and new logo but can't fix the printing/copying issues. If they can't provide accessible printing, it should be mandated that all professors accept digital submissions of work and can not require hard copies. In addition, anything printed that needs to be written on should be done so by the professors and distributed during class.
