This is a petition against Berkeley College to charge and extra $75 per online class. That means for a full-time student taking 4 online classes it will cost them an extra $300 per semester and for a part time student taking 2 classes it will cost an extra $150 per semester.That means Berkeley will get an extra $1200 for a full time student per year and $600 per year for a part time student for a year. As students we should have a choice where to get our books. Some students need to have books in front of them in order to finish assignments and papers.It would be hard to see the materials and answer questions if it is on the same page. That would mean we(students) then need to invest in a printer and ink to print out information making it more costly for students and bad for the environment. This is purely to get more money from students and in this economy it isn't right. So many of us are on financial aid and with the government cuts we are getting less money then before. If you feel the same and agree with the petition then please fill this out so we as students can voice our opinions. Please forward it to everyone. You can email this link to all students by going to Blackboard, click on you course, then click course tools, then click on send email, and then finally click on all student users and paste the link so everyone will see the petition. We need to get as many signatures as possible. Please do this for all classes. Thanks.
