On April 1, 2010 President Obama signed into law, a bill that violates a 200+ years treaty with the Seneca Nation, as well as, countless other treaties throughout the United States with other Indian Nations. The Bill can be found here for reading at this link: Pact Act
Our Government wants to turn the clock back on the Indians, return them to the want, squalor and dependency of the past. The small measure of self sufficiency they have achieved to care for their people, to provide health and education programs and essential services will drastically diminish. This act which is supposedly to (Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking) will cost not only the Native Indians jobs, but it will cost the rest of America in almost the same way. The main shipment method of online cigarette sale was through the US Postal Service. They have already had to ask to raise stamp prices another 2 cents for next year because of the lost revenue they received from sales of online tobacco. I ask all Americans who are tired of our government to sign this petition and finally say no to their continued taxation with representation policy. S. 1147 is a deliberate betrayal of all Americans of all creeds and ethnicity. Sign this petition to Repeal S. 1147 act show Government what we really want, and how real Democracy works.

I have been thinking about the treaty violations every waking moment because they really think they can just rewrite history without anyone noticing. People keep messaging me about the job losses and the postal service failures which just confirms that this is about so much more than anyone wants to admit in the halls of power.

The fed govt has no right to mess with tribal sovereignty like this. stop overreaching and repeal this garbage
UNFAIR AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL. leave the seneca nation alone!!!
I am 29, and finding it virtually impossible to order import koiki pipe tobacco from overseas Japan, due nigh entirely to this patently ridiculous piece of legal bilge scaring away foreign sales. I can readily acquire hookah, cigarettes, and a myriad variety of pipe tobacco available locally, through the internet--and falsifying age is a simple enough a task for a child to acquire any of these things with the aid of their smartphone or a local pc, an address, and a credit card. Meanwhile, a pack of cigarettes is a quick five-finger discount away from any 'child' truly intent on the act, straight from their parents' purse, or with the aid of any school friend over the age of 18. In short, please repeal this draconian piece of legal absurdity, for the sake of free commerce, and adult tobacco enthusiasts alike.
Please abolish this stupid law!

This legislation violates the Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution, the tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights, and equal protection under the law, to name just a few. It is discriminatory, illegal legislation and needs to be repealed immediately.
