In response to growing concerns regarding the safety of students at BMS, including promotion of a positive school climate to not only keep our students safe, but foster their academic achievement we, parents of BMS students are requesting increased presence of school social workers (1:250). I addition we would like to make strong argument against additional disciplinary actions. While disciplinary actions might seem, on the surface, to be a quick fix to concerns of school safety and student conduct, the evidence suggest that these practices are not universally effective.

Kids need actual support and someone to talk to, not just more detentions. This is long overdue.

AGREED. stop suspending kids and start helping them. fix the school environment already.
