My sons wore shorts year round. They were never dress coded for length but many of their friends were when wearing skirts longer than their shorts ...

I went to Belleville east and know exactly how everyone feels when it comes to their dress code policy

This seems funny that in 1972 when I was in High School we had a dress code that was very bias..guys could were pants, shorts but the girls could only were dresses or skirts no shorter than 1" above knee. You mean things have not changed in 43 years. Knee caps are knee caps no matter who they are on...below the knee for both or neither. Hopefully neither.

I was a student at Belleville East several years ago, it's sex is that the guys could wear shorts and still be fine. Whereas the girls had a limited wardrobe that they could wear to school thus making it harder for them to find anything inexpensive to wear. Showing your knee caps are not a distraction in my opinion, being in college and having the freedom to wear what you want doesn't change the ability to learn any less.
This dress code is stupid af!
This needs to happen
People should be able to express their style!
