I do agree that the dresscode teaches kids how to dress professionally. However, I do not agree with the complete, sexist, and biased rules the dress code enforces. It is time to alter the rules, or to completely toss them out. When I went to Belleville East, girls were called out in class and sent to the principal's office for showing half a knee-cap on a hot day; they were criticized for naturally having voluptuous mammaries that cannot hide behind a button-up polo; and they have more difficulty choosing what to properly wear in school, and have to spend more money, because for the girls, it is not as simple as buying polos and khaki pants. Teach boys and teachers not to sexualize girls instead of punishing them for simply being.
