As former East student, I'm happy to sign this petition to revise this sexist dress code.

I have always thought that this wasn't equal. I feel that if anything the shorts/dresses/skirts should have to go past the fingertips.

I think it looks weird to see a guy wearing shorts all the way up to his thigh and I support your complaint

I never wear skirts or dresses to school but I do agree on everything in this petition. And I strongly dislike the fact when teachers say, "It distracts the boys and or other students from learning." I don't think a part of a women's thigh will distract anyone. You do not have to agree with me, but that is my opinion. Another thing I would like to change is that we can wear black jackets (or shirts in some students cases) I do not see why the color is a problem.

I agree with this. Why did the student video only show women and their dresscode?

I think that they should change the dress code. I hate that they classify the way I dress as something Gang reality. There has to be a change

I completely agree. An amendment has to be made. Doesnt have to be exactly 4 inches above the knee, but the fingertips rule always worked for everyone else.

Really? This is so selfish and outright stupid. Dress codes are made to establish a more proffesional looking environment. Here is a crazy idea, if an XL dress is still above your kneees, get a size larger. And if thats still too small, just wear khaki pants, like all the guys wear. Besides many of you all will be graduating in a year or less. Is it this big of a fuss? No. Grow up, your becoming an adult, so act and dress like one too.
