The cancellation of the BC Ferry route Port Hardy - Bella Coola are a poor short term fix by the BC Government to make their books look good, but will have a huge negative impact in the future. Have the Government even had a look at the impact of their decision?

My husband and I speny our honeymoon camping and seeing the sites in Bella Coola. Please do not discontinue service. We plan to take the ferry too!

Please do not stop the ferry. Many US citizens enjoy the ferry and stopping it will reduce tourism to Bella Coola.

The ferries are the highways on the water, and must be maintained as a core service. Shutting down this route will have tremendous negative impacts on the residents and businesses throughout the region. The BC Government has to give it's head a shake and clear out all the airie-faerie BS such as carbon taxes/ trading and focus on ensuring basic services are maintained. There is much "bloat" within BC Ferries bureacracy that can be trimmed to ensure a more economical and sustainable operation.

We travelled on the ferry line from Bella Coola to Port Hardy with our families and it was an amazing journey. The experience was unforgetable. I urge the BC Government not to cancel this ferry route. It is a vital link and one that connects Bella Coola to the rest of Canada.
