The Bella Coola valley and Tweedsmuir Park represent a premier tourist locality in BC, and have great potential to attract many visitors interested in wildlife and winter sports. Interest in wildlife, in particular, is international, and the area is recognised as unique in the world for bear viewing. I would be a great loss to BC if the ability to visit this area was curtailed by cancellation of coastal access.

Isolating the Bella Coola valley is *not* the way to go. International tourism is one of the key industries, yet how do you expect tourists to get there if Route 40 will not be existing?
