Please don't cancel the route 40 ferry. It is very important to so many people, including locals and tourists from around the world who come to visit the pristine beauty of the Bella Coola Valley.

Keep the Discovery Coast Passage alive! Tourism is one of the biggest contributors to our economy in BC and that's why we need Route 40. But then again, who knows, maybe our wise Government has received some hints from the mining industry and now they're shutting down tourism so that the area up there becomes available to unfettered environmental destruction, like so many other places in our wonderful province. You never know in these times where the Prime Minister of BC says she is "# 1Salesperson of BC" . By the way, we have to thank a strong and stupid minority of 45% of the voters who elected the current clowns into government. Wake up, people of BC, wake up Canada !

That's right, the cancellation of the Discovery Coast Passage will bring in an estimated net savings of around $ 1,5 million in three years. Well, that is ca. half a million in savings per year. Now get this: BC Ferries CEO makes close to 1 Million a year, while the CEO of Washington State Ferries makes less than $ 200.000 annually. So, here is an easy way to save $ 500.000 a year, without compromising service levels. And best of all, after the salary cut, BC Ferries CEO would still make twice as much as his counterpart in WA! Yay!! But then again, let's not forget that said ferry route is only of vital importance for local residents and the tourism industry., Both of which are of no importance at all to this absolutely incompetent an corrupt government. They need to make the ferry cuts to pay more corporate welfare to the oil and gas industry. Disgusting !

It's a travesty to cut the ferry to Bella Coola, tourists will not go there anymore if they have to drive the highway back!! Cutting the ferry will devastate the area. We've taken the trip and it was wonderful, and many foreign tourists were on it.
