I have travelled up and down the coast in the past and intend to do so again. Many groups and individuals have made tourism investments based on the expectation of reasonable access by ferry. To end the ferry service is to entirely undermine those individuals and communities. Not long ago, the Kitasoo Xai'xais First Nation built the Spirit Bear Lodge in Klemtu. That investment may become entirely uneconomic if reasonable ferry access is ended. I live in Vancouver and oppose the Northern Gateway Pipeline proposal. Tourism creates jobs and protects the environment; if my taxes have to rise slightly to support a transition to a sustainable economy in places like the central coast, I'm prepared to accept that.

You can't cut people of in these communities!! We work, live and play here. You need to work your advertising better, you are a cruse ship!!! Make it happen!!! Get the taxpayers dollars back and make British Columbia shine!!! If you need help ask don't fold!! Shame on you!!

My wife and I drove the circular route clockwise from Vancouver to Bella Coolad and then by ferry to Port Hardy.

Having to bring people into Bella Coola by planes only would have a huge environmental impact!
