This walkway isn’t needed or wanted! Preserve the boulevard, this is not progress.

I strongly oppose the proposed plan as it will cause some of the beauty of Belle Meade to diminish. Please leave this area the special place it is for residents and visitors alike. Nancy Nunnelley

Can't someone please think of the light poles?

This is outrageous. Imagine people walking up and down the boulevard? Or maybe jogging or taking their child for a walk in their stroller. Can't someone think of the poor SUVs from Williamson County for once? They must be able to hurtle, unencumbered, 45mph in the inside lane all the way from Harding Pike to Chickering!

Belle Meade Blvd is a historic blvd a roadway not a neighborhood that we need sidewalks. Furthermore sidewalks will cause more people to come into the area and want to walk the boulevard and where will these individuals park. We already have limited parking spaces. Also I think sidewalks will cause distractions and disturb the beauty of this southern road.

This is unacceptable! The amount of green space and vegetation destroyed will be dreadful. Plus we do not need anymore traffic!!

Improvement? Only if you. want to turn perfection inside out. Why don't you just find some other "project" to mess up?

I live at 906 Westview Ave here in Belle Meade and I am against any sidewalk being built down the boulevard. This will only increase traffic along the road and increase the chance of someone getting hit or worse yet potentially killed. Reducing the size of the lanes is problematic with many of the larger SUV's that go down the road everyday. We will make sure this does not happen. Thank you, Brad Reynolds 906 Westview Ave

I work in Belle Meade. The boulevard has a timeless quality. Metro tinkering with landscape and design is scary!!

I strongly oppose this plan. We do not need sidewalks and narrower lanes down the heart of Belle Meade. It will inevitably lead to more traffic on the Boulevard from non-residents. I encourage someone to run in the next election(s) against all the commissioners who voted in favor of this terrible plan, and demand disclosure of contributions from area developers.

This seems like a move by the Belle Meade Plaza development to market their property as having access to the Warner Parks. Belle Meade Boulevard has a lovely, peaceful, well-landscaped median exemplary of the neighborhood. The lack of sidewalks has never affected the ability of walkers and runners to use the Boulevard from the park. It is the aesthetic of the Boulevard that draws people to use it for exercise. Adding sidewalks will actually decrease its pedestrian use, in my opinion. The rules of the Boulevard require automobiles to stay to the right except for passing. This allows pedestrians/walkers/runners to use the Boulevard without issue from traffic. Please don't add sidewalks. I don't even live in Belle Meade but I DON'T want to see sidewalks on the Boulevard.

This is totally unnecessary especially considering what improvements are needed in other parts of Nashville.

Belle Meade is a very special community. We do not need sidewalks on the boulevard opening it up to more traffic and congestion. We are fortunate to have our community. We DO NOT need SIDEWALKS!

These are unnecessary and a miss use of the city’s resources. I’ve run the Boulevard more times than I could ever count. Patrons know the risk they are assuming and most drivers are cognizant of the activity on the Boulevard.
