We the undersigned would like to show our support for a Director's Cut DVD release of Cary Fukunaga's 2011 film, Jane Eyre. This gorgeous production suffered from a number of plot holes due to scenes that were filmed and appeared in the trailer and other promotional material, but were cut from the theatrical release. We are certain that a DVD in which these scenes were incorporated back into the film would deliver a superior viewing experience, and make this Jane Eyre the definitive screen adaptation. The undersigned all commit to purchasing a Director's Cut DVD, if it were to be made available.

The studio is ignoring these lost scenes while we sit here with a mangled version of the film. We are gaining momentum toward 500 signatures so blast this link everywhere to make sure they cannot pretend this demand does not exist.

The studio thinks we are just going to sit back and accept this butchered version of the film. We are almost at one hundred signatures and we need to hit that mark right now to prove they are ignoring a massive audience.

Jane Eyre is my favorite book of all time and I loved the films ability to capture the mystery rather than just focus on the romance. After seeing the deleted scenes, I'd love to see the film collected in its entirety.
There's so much that has been missed out that helps us understand the story fully and more about the characters. This is my favourite version and I would love to see more of the story :)
Theatrical release feels rushed and Jane's female rivals are under-developed, leaving it hard to care about the characters due to lack of arc and impact.
Cary Fukunaga is an exceptionally talented film maker, and if a director's cut exists and improves upon the theatrical version then I would love for it to get a release!
This is my favorite novel, and one of the only books i reread regularly. While i loved te feel of this film i yearned for more of the story that was missing. Please give us more.
