No family should have to experience the pain and heartache that this boys family are feeling right now, a fence should have been there long before such an awful tragedy had to happen! R.I.P Owen fly high up there xx

There are other measures that need to be taken to keep people (especially youngsters) safe. That would be a fitting tribute to Owen. He was a remarkable and brave boy.

The area where the lad played has always been a concern. Maybe a tragic accident will be the trigger for safety measures. Little to late!

I know this child and it saddens me to think this could have been prevented if a barrier was but up beeston and clifton side. So many children spend there holidays down there playing near the water

There should be some kind of barriers around that place. Loads of children play around there.
Life rings or some kind of barrier in the water to stop people drifting down river.

I've lived in this area my show life and this place has always been dangerous. This awful tragedy has shown just how dangerous it is. Please act and close this area off
