Please Bee Friendly, Monmouthshire

97% of our Wildflower habitats have gone. We should do everything we can to help local biodiversity and pollinators. Lets do all we can help.

As flowering plants decrease in our countryside, roadside verges become more & more important to the vital work of the pollinators

l fully support the excellent ides of not cutting grass verges where it will encourage insects/bees to increase in numbers' of course l support the safety aspect first

I enjoyed the roundabouts and verges that had been seeded with wild flowers in Caerleon and Newport last year and would welcome it spreading. It is aesthetically pleasing as well as being functional in encouraging bees

Bee's are have an extremely hard time keeping us alive.

With the changing climate and continuing destruction of habitat, our wildlife is increasingly pressured and faces an uncertain future. Roadside verge flowers are a vital resource for the survival of many bee species. I strongly support this proposal.

I support the proposed pollinator policy and would like to see it being implemented to help support British wildlife

I can see only benefits in terms of overall health and well being to both wildlife and people by allowing wildflowers to flourish. Bigger bushes that might try to establish could be controlled by cutting every 3-5 years.

So long as people in the community highlight any hazardous situations for cutting/trimming the verges can look after themselves & the bees!
