I am a tax paying Bolivar property owner tired of taking a minimum of an extra hour and a half to travel to Beaumont via ferry, Galveston, Kemah (traffic!!)
and Mont Belvieu whenever conditions on the 124/87 curve are doubtful.

Our family owned business for the past 15 years is located on the Peninsula; we were forced to move after hurricane Ike took our home. My husband travels this road daily. It is dangerous and is in dire need of help. There are only two ways out of there. People died during hurricane Ike because they were trapped and could not get off the peninsula. We are begging anyone who will listen to help us get this road fixed. Please!!

Either build a new road in the marsh or build a bridge to Crystal, at least, with on and off ramps.

I don't sign many petitions, but this is critically important to the peninsula. You take their tax dollars Galveston county. Fix the road!!!

It seems the Texas Land Office is wanting these problems to hwy 87 so those that are opposed to the closure of Roll Over Pass will back down in their fight. The sand dunes should have been replaced after Ike. Almost 8 years later and there isn't any dunes! Is other coastal areas in Texas waiting this long for coastal restoration? I think not!
