We are property owners and where there the first of the year and it needs to be fixed.

Got children traveling this Hwy 87 to get to school, not to mention hoping they will make it back home after school. Auto's being tore up, tires etc. Can't go anywhere except ferry way and pray that stays running in case of storm. We that live here are very concerned. Don't allow something really bad to happen before it gets fixed.

I lived in High Island until I was 18 years old and worked at Stingaree Restaurant for about 6 years. After high school, I would drive all the way from Beaumont to work weekend shifts at Stingaree. I feel terrible for the people who live down there and have to worry about whether or not they'll be able to make it home or to work.
My dad is an EMT for Galveston County in Hitchcock and relies on the beach highway and ferry for his long drive to work. My family and many of my friends still live on the peninsula.
I ask that you please do something about this highway issue. These are great people who have already been through a lot with the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. They need to be taken care of and know they are important too.

They have already closed the beging of the road so we can travel from sabine pass to the beach. Now if they close this corner not only people from Jefferson co but all others will have to travel over the ferry and thru houston to get to crystal beach . Not to mention UTMB is in Galveston and women in labor don't need the extra ride thru houston to get to the hospital to deliver

This road needs to be fixed ASAP!!! TXDOT has had many years to repair & fix this hwy, but yet nothing has been done. Residents that live down that way need to be able to get back & worth to work & don't you think for tourists visiting that you would want it fixed too? Please repair & fix this road...it's time!!!

We can't wait 2 or 3 years on a fix for the safety of residents and visitors alike. Work must begin now on a permanent solution.

The state has a responsibility to repair or replace Hwy 87 and do so within a reasonable timeframe. TXDOT has known this was going to be a problem for years. Get on with the solution!

HWY 87 needs to be repaired from the tip of Boliver Pennsular all the way to Sabine Pass . Mc Faddin Beach needs to be built up .

I grew up on the bolivar peninsula and lived there till hurricane ike. The road is not meant to be put through that much punishment. The road needs to be fixed and have some sort of reinforcement.

I have a house on faggard slip in gilchrist and the danger of this road needs to be addressed now so that the residents can feel safe to go to their homes.

Business owners need it fix it hurts are business when our customers can't get here.
And those customers are tax payers and remember the state get 8% of that business we do.
